The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

I cherish the days I spent at Penn State and with the NROTC unit. Since graduating, I was commissioned as an officer in the United States Navy, served as the Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer (ASWO) on the USS Monterey, the Damage Control Assistant (DCA) on the USS Cole, and an instructor with the Surface Warfare Officers School in Newport, Rhode Island. In 2006-2007, I was deployed to Baghdad, Iraq as a Platoon Commander with the Counter Rocket, Artillery and Mortar defense unit to augment the shortage of Army officers in the combat zone. I am scheduled to report to the USS Underwood as the Combat Systems Officer in May 2010 in Jacksonville, FL.I have been fortunate enough to make it to homecoming each year with my family for the football weekends and really enjoy all Penn State sports. My family and I recently made the trip to Madison Square Garden to watch the Nittany Lions defeat Notre Dame in the NIT Final Four game. Although my heart belongs to Penn State, I earned my MBA from Syracuse University in May 2009. When Penn State plays Syracuse, there is never a question of who I cheer for...Go Lions!
